EDUCATION. Phil Barone earned a B.A. in Geography, with emphasis in Climatology, from California State University, Northridge, studying under the late Dr. Arnold Court and other professors.

EXPERIENCE.  From July 1998 through June 2004, Mr. Barone was the Business Development Director and a Climatologist of Continental Weather & Earth Sciences, Inc.  He was responsible for the preparation of most of the Daily Weather Planner forecasts and specialized weather forecasts for the film industry, family festivals, farmers' markets, power companies, and other special applications.

CURRENT AFFILIATIONS.  Mr. Barone now heads his own businesses, American Weather & Hydrology, LLC and California Weather & Earth Sciences.  He is in charge of, and prepares many of, his company's Daily Weather Planner forecasts, plus specialized forecasts for Disneyland and Disney's California Adventure, the film industry (numerous major feature films and many commercials), agriculture, construction, power companies, family festivals, farmers' markets,  and special events such as the Academy Awards, the Emmys, the Super Bowl, the Rose Parade and Rose Bowl, the BCS Championship, New York Times Square New Year's Eve, Boston Fourth of July, the Democratic National Convention, and the Presidential Inauguration.  He is a major participant in that company's severe storms photography program.   He is also a Climatological Consultant of Associated Science Experts, LLC.

Mr. Barone is an official Weather Spotter for the National Weather Service and is a member of the American Meteorological Society and California Weather Association.
