Charles B. Pyke, Ph.D., Principal Scientist, Primary Forensic Meteorologist and Expert Witness, and Primary Seasonal Forecast Specialist.  Dr. Pyke has nearly 50 years of professional experience in meteorology and climatology, specializing in weather forecasting, long-range weather outlooks, precipitation, and flood-warning system design, plus education, forensic sciences team management, and forensic discovery and expert testimony.

EDUCATION.  Charles B. Pyke earned a B.A., an M.A., and  a Ph.D. Degree, all in Meteorology,, at UCLA.  He won a national award for undergraduate research on air-sea interaction and storm development at sea, then studied under the world-famous meteorology professor, Dr. Jacob Bjerknes, for his Master's Thesis on California storm sizes and decadal climate variations, and his Ph.D. Dissertation on western North American seasonal precipitation distribution.

Then, in a four-year post-doctoral research program under the professorship of Dr. Bjerknes, Dr. Pyke pioneered the relationship of El Niño and La Niña  to weather patterns in the United States, from California to Georgia.

EXPERIENCE.  Between 1960 and 1989, Dr. Pyke was an Air Force weather officer, an Assistant Professor at California State University, Northridge, and a flood-control meteorologist for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, before becoming President,  CEO, and Principal Scientist of Continental Weather & Earth Sciences, Inc., as well as its principal owner and a member of its Board of Directors, where he served through June 2004.

CURRENT AFFILIATIONS.  Since 2004, Dr. Pyke has headed Associated Science Experts, LLC, which offers specialized scientific services, such as global warming climate modeling, meteorological and hydrologic instrumentation, pest control business development, public lectures and The Visiting Science Professor program, customized scientific textbooks, scientific software, and television, DVD, and Internet science documentaries.  He is the company's Owner, Managing Member, and Principal Scientist.

Dr. Pyke is a Founding Partner and the President, CEO, and Principal Scientist of Environmental Science & Energy, Inc.  He is the Principal Scientist, Primary Forensic Meteorologist and Expert Witness, and Seasonal Forecast Specialist of American Weather & Hydrology, LLC and California Weather & Earth Sciences.  Dr. Pyke prepares American Weather's and California Weather's long-range weather outlooks (2 weeks to 14 months), many of California Weather's Daily Weather Planner  forecasts, and special weather forecasts for the film industry, Disneyland, Disney's California Adventure, and Walt Disney World, the Super Bowl and other National Football League games,  the Academy Awards, the Emmys, the Rose Parade, the Rose Bowl, the BCS Championships and other college bowl games, New York Times Square New Year's Eve, the Kennedy Centre Honors, Christmas in Washington, agriculture, construction, power companies, family festivals, farmers' markets, and other special events.
