Zane A. Stephens, M.S., Forensic Meteorologist, Climatologist, Environmental Scientist, and Geologist. 

Mr. Stephens is a Weather Forecaster for, and a Climatological, Environmental, Geological, and Renewable Energy  Consultant to, American Weather & Hydrology, LLC and California Weather Earth Sciences.  He is the principal Certified HazMat Training Course Instructor of American Weather & Hydrology, LLC He is a consultant to Environmental Science & Energy, Inc. 

EDUCATION.  His educational background includes meteorology, climatology, environmental sciences, and geology.  He earned a B.S. in Geography, with emphasis in Meteorology and Climatology, and an M.S. - both from Utah State University.  He is pursuing a Ph.D. from that institution. 

EXPERIENCE.  Zane A. Stephens is a multi-talented scientist, with more than 30 years of professional experience as a meteorologist, climatologist, geologist, environmental scientist, certified hazardous materials instructor, teacher, radio and television broadcaster, photographer, partner, and/or director at eight companies and university departments from 1978 to 2001.  He was a climatologist at the Utah Climate Center, assisting the State Climatologist.   He was an on-air meteorologist at a Logan, UT radio and television station.  Mr. Stephens taught at Bridgerland Applied Technology College, Logan, UT for a number of years as an instructor in numerous scientific courses.  He was an environmental scientist for a number of years with Blue Ridge Associates and Jackie E. Stephens & Associates, both in Spokane, WA.  Mr. Stephens is a highly experienced weather forecaster.  

CURRENT AFFILIATIONS.  Mr. Stephens prepares many of the Daily Weather Planner forecasts for California Weather Earth Sciences, plus special weather forecasts by American Weather & Hydrology, LLC for major film productions,  agriculture, construction, power companies, Disneyland and Disney's California Adventure, family festivals, farmers' markets, and special events such as the Academy Awards, the Emmys, the Super Bowl, the Rose Parade, the Rose Bowl, and others.

Zane A. Stephens is the principal  Certified Hazardous Materials Training course instructor for American Weather & Hydrology, LLC He is certified as an IFSCI site inspector and is an instructor in HazMat courses, confined-space courses, lead removal, and asbestos removal.  He is a certified building inspector and management planner.

Zane is a cold-pocket meteorology and climatology expert.  He has personally observed and measured, in the mountains of northern Utah, many of the lowest recorded temperatures in the United States for various months of the year. 

Mr. Stephens is becoming increasingly involved as a  forensic meteorologist, climatologist, and environmental scientist, and is available to perform discovery and to testify in depositions and court trials. 

EXPERIENCE AND CURRENT AFFILIATIONS.  After working as a Meteorologist for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Bill Reid has been a climatological consultant to American Weather & Hydrology, LLC, as well as to California Weather & Earth Sciences,  Associated Science Experts, LLC,  and their predecessors since 1989. 

PRESENT AND FUTURE PLANS.  Mr. Stephens continues as a weather forecaster, forensic meteorologist, research meteorologist, hazardous materials training instructor, and environmental scientist for American Weather & Hydrology, LLC, California Weather & Earth Sciences, and Associated Science Experts, LLC, among others.  He also prepares some independent weather forecasts and teaches some independent hazardous materials training courses. 

Zane is planning to consult with Dr. Charles B. Pyke, Timothy E. Wright, Philip K. Barone, Dr. William J. Trott, Paul Braden, and others of  Environmental Science & Energy, Inc. in the

Development of new-technology wind, solar, hydroelectric, and other renewable energy for individual homes, farms, schools, and businesses.

Development of the latest-technology scientific instrumentation.

Determination of construction defects, foundation failures, and seismic and landslide hazards

Provision of climatic, meteorological, hydrologic, seismic / landslide, and coastal / ocean data, plus data analysis.

Safety and restoration projects for water reclamation, dams, power plants, and transmission lines.

Protection and restoration of beaches, shorelines, harbors, marinas, lagoons, wetlands, and coral reefs.

Protection, repair, and reconstruction of bridges, highways, and public works infrastructure

Conservation of natural resources and environmental planning.

Zane Stephens is a doctoral candidate at Utah State University, where he plans to pursue his Ph.D. in Meteorology
