Hydrologic and Civil Engineer.
Dr. Trott is a Professional Engineer (P.E.) in California.
EDUCATION. William Trott earned a B.S. (Magna
Cum Laude) in Engineering, an M.S. in Water Resources Systems, and Ph.D.
in Water Resources Systems, all at UCLA.
EXPERIENCE. Dr. Trott has more than 37 years
of experience as a
Civil Engineer, specializing in hydrology and hydraulics. He has been employed by UCLA,
Environmental Dynamics, ASA, Psomas, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sikand,
Hlubik, Tetra Tech, Mono Lake Committee, Calleguas Water District, and Loyola-Marymount
University between
1970 and the present.
CURRENT AFFILIATIONS.
Dr. Trott has been the Principal
Hydrologic Expert Witness for
Associated Science Experts, LLC,
as well as
American Weather & Hydrology, LLC, California Weather & Earth Sciences,
and
their predecessors since 1990.
Since 1974, he has also been a
University Professor of
Civil Engineering, teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in
hydrology, hydraulics, computer modeling, water resources planning and
design, engineering economy, and water resources economics.
PRESENT
AND FUTURE PLANS. As
Principal Engineer of
Environmental Science &
Energy, Inc.,
Dr. Trott
is
working with
Dr. Charles B. Pyke, Timothy E. Wright, Philip K. Barone,
Paul Braden,
and others
in
hydrologic research and development projects, as well as in the administration
of the corporation, as it becomes involved in the:
Development
of new-technology wind, solar, hydroelectric, and other renewable energy for
individual homes, farms, schools, and businesses.
Development
of the latest-technology scientific instrumentation.
Determination of construction defects, foundation failures, and seismic and
landslide hazards
Provision of climatic, meteorological, hydrologic, seismic / landslide, and
coastal / ocean data, plus data analysis.
Safety and
restoration projects for water reclamation, dams, power plants, and
transmission lines.
Protection
and restoration of beaches, shorelines, harbors, marinas, lagoons, wetlands,
and coral reefs.
Protection, repair, and reconstruction of bridges, highways, and public works
infrastructure .
Conservation of natural resources and
environmental planning.
