Charles B. Pyke, Ph.D., President, CEO, and Principal Scientist of  Environmental Science & Energy, Inc., as well as Principal Scientist of California Weather & Earth Sciences, has launched a new business designed to develop and offer an emerging new technology, consisting of highly efficient, low-cost wind, solar, and hydroelectric energy for homes, farms, schools, and businesses, using state-of-the-art small wind generators, solar panels, and small-stream hydroelectric power turbines .

Former Vice-President Al Gore has challenged the United States to become independent from fossil fuels for all of our electrical needs: "So today, I challenge our nation to commit to producing 100% of our electricity from renewable energy and truly carbon-free sources within 10 years." (7/17/08) Mr. Gore specifically mentioned in his speech the falling prices of wind and solar energy technology, in contrast to the rising prices of oil and coal.

With the cost of oil and gasoline rising out of control within the past year, before falling back, it has become evident that there is an increasingly urgent need for the development of alternate sources of energy.  Especially needed are economically feasible sources of renewable energy, such as wind and solar energy.

These are certainly needed on a large scale, such as large wind and solar farms, using giant wind turbines (like the ones in the photo at the upper left of this web page) and large collections of solar panels (like the ones in the middle left of this page).

However, high-tech wind, solar, and hydroelectric energy generators are also needed on smaller scales, as well:

  • Local wind turbines and high-tech versions of the old-fashioned windmills are needed to supply individual farms and even individual urban homes, schools, and small to mid-size businesses with electric power that can supplement, or - with proper storage capacity - even supplant, the need for electricity from the power companies.

  • Local high-tech solar panels are needed to do the same for homes, farms, schools, and small businesses.  With proper state-of-the-art storage capacity, these solar collectors can supplement co-located wind devices and can run a home or a farm continuously through a mix of breezy and calm, sunny and cloudy days, and can even generate reverse energy that can be sold back to the power companies during periods of moderate or strong winds and ample sunshine.

  • Local high-tech small-scale hydroelectric generators placed along the banks of small and mid-sized streams and small rivers flowing through cities and rural areas.  Although there are some applications of small-scale hydroelectric generation for individual homes and small farms, most smaller-scale hydroelectric generation is ideal for intermediate-sized users, such as large farms, larger businesses, large schools and colleges, and small communities.

Environmental Science & Energy, Inc., Associated Science Experts, LLC, and California Weather & Earth Sciences have developed relationships with companies and agencies that operate large-scale wind turbine farms and solar energy farms.  We are also working with emerging companies that are developing state-of-the-art, high-tech, highly efficient local wind, solar, and hydroelectric generating equipment for individual homes, farms, schools, and businesses.

Call (877) 373-4629, (888) 786-7696, or (800) 843-7246 to discuss your specific needs for renewable energy sources.

There are also special needs temporary installations of special wind and solar energy-generating equipment for:

  • Local devices to power instruments making measurements needed in forensic discovery cases.

  • Local power needed in conjunction with Certified Weather Observations.

  • Local power for special events, such as outdoor lighting and sound equipment at small concerts, political rallies, religious gatherings, weddings, bar mitzvahs, etc., where standard AC electric power is not readily available, or is more expensive than local solar or wind generation.

More information on the potential role of Environmental Science & Energy, Inc. in wind and solar energy development will be added to this page, upcoming.
